Dream Car

A few weeks ago I was driving home and a shiny, low-profile, silver car zoomed by me in the opposite lane. I instinctively turned my head and watched it pass, only having a split second due to the fact his direction was clear, and mine was less so.

It was then that I thought "I think I know what my dream car is." After Googling for a while, I confirmed that I'm not alone, and that some people have even taken that thought to the next level.

I want a Delorean, but I don't want a real one. I want a car with gull-wing doors, an electric/hybrid motor, modernized headlights, modernized interior, modernized suspension and modernized handling.

Back to the Future

Don't get me wrong; I'm not hating on this kind of machine. In fact, I wanted something like this for a long time! There's obviously the nostalgia element, but when you get right down to it, this isn't what I want to drive to work every day.

Aston Martin Bulldog (Concept Car)

Seeing that nice, clean, silver bullet shoot past me in traffic, I realized something like this is more what I'd like to spend my time driving. Sleek, sharp lines, no gimmicks or extras on the outside.

Obviously, the Bulldog isn't modernized, so lets bring in something that is. I've seen Audis with this style of headlight, too, but I can't deny the envy I feel when I see these in my rear-view:

Tesla Model S

This vehicle also has the advantage of representing one of my other desires: it's electric.

Random Delorean Concept

As I've said, I'm not the only person who dreams of gullwings and stainless. Here's a concept art that wraps the current "Honeycomb" grill trend in with some of the "modern muscle car" lines.







So, anyway, I look forward to when I become rich and can afford to have a team of engineers design and build me a Revival Delorean. I hope by then I can actually articulate what I want instead of buzzwords and images slapped onto a webpage :)
